THE REDEFINITION OF THREE PRIMARY COLOR PROJECT

I did this project in my first year in Kingston University, it is a reflection of my life which changes rapidly from high school to university. The fast-paced life makes it hard for me to think about what I really want, when I can finally think about my true interest after stepping in university, I found that this is a very common problem of this generation. Everyone seems to have fast-paced life. They are used to be busy and ignore what is happening with themselves and others. As far as I am concerned, this is the social characteristics brought about by development in the 21st century. I decided to redefine the primary colors which are different from the old ones. I took the red of neon, the yellow
of electric spark, the blue of the polluted sky as my impression to the 21st century.

'THE EVERYDAY REPETITION' (2019)(7:55)

Video Work

This work is an extension of my thinking about contemporary life, inspired by Frances Stark, and how she visualize her everyday life. This work expresses the author's aversion to the boring life which repeated itself every day and it is trying to encourage people to discover new things around them and do not get numb. A lot of metaphorical and repetitive techniques were used in this work, its purpose is to make the audience question and reflect on his own life. The background sound is I took on the train to represent the moving life.
